What other cost will I have when I hire a houseboat?
Your main other expense when renting a houseboat is fuel.
Normally the houseboat will be full of fuel when you hire it
out and upon return, it will be filled again and you pay the
corresponding amount for fuel.

When hiring a houseboat you will normally be given a
full tank of fuel and you will be charged upon your
return for the amount used.
A bond is paid when you hire the vessel and any expenses such as fuel or damage etc are deducted and the remainder credited back to you at the end of the hire. |
TRAVEL TIPS
Flying in Australia
Check in early for your flight and dress in neat manner. If you do this then your requests for the better seats will have a better change of being obtained.
If you need more leg room and are able to assist in the unlikely event of an emergency, ask to be seated in a row that serves as an exit door. Be flexible in your flight times as cheaper flight may be at unusual times of the day. Morning and late afternoon are usually heavily booked by business people travelling between the capital cities. Book your flights as soon as you can - generally the more time between the booking date and to the departure date, the cheaper the flight.
On longer flights, particularly a night, on check-in try to be moved if your seat in adjacent to the toilets. Travel insurance is relatively inexpensive and is a must, particularly if you are booking flights and accommodation well in advance.
